New Theme: Shine
updated by rck, 2004-10-19

You wanted it, you get it. The first downloadable Theme of kiesler.at. And it's different.

Get out your Project Pitchfork, Nitin Sawhney or Blue Tonic World tracks and shine.

What is this?

Shine is a phpWebSite theme. To see it in action, simply login and choose it from Control Panel - My Settings - Change my view. Shine's preferred environment is Opera or Firefox. My personal preference would be Opera, as I *shudder* don't like Firefox. But it's your choice, of course. Internet Explorer will do as well, although you might miss the point.

The shine swatches are based on the image to the right. It's a very nice photo I found with google while searching for shine-images. If you click it, you'll be taken to another load of similar, wonderful photos.

What Shine isn't

First of all, Shine sure isn't accessible. I guess, it doesn't even validate, haven't tried it and won't.

Second, you might have problems with the small font, as Shine isn't too readable. The colours won't help you either on that matter.

Shine is not for the faint of heart, it's a proof of concept.

Shine breaks in Konqueror, and thus Safari as well. I guess, it won't work with older browsers.

And last, but not least, Shine is oldstyle / newstyle crossover. I took the best of classic table-based design and mixed it up with a whole lot of css.
